This project has been interesting. In my practice, I often go on various "quests" without much expectation for what I may find. This particular project has seemed to yield more than what I've put into it. On the other hand, perhaps I'm seeing years of practice and cultivation bear fruit.
I've seen in some traditions the concept of spell cultivation. That is, instead of creating a spell on-the-fly or maintaining a catalogue of thousands of spells, you nurture a small collection of general purpose spells. This was not my plan going into this project, but it has been one of the results.
The little charms I wrote were originally meant to activate the talismans. I've found I can put them to use in other ways. The solar charm has worked as a general purpose healing spell. I successfully used the venusian charm to attract my cousins cat who famously "hates everyone." I can see these spells taking on a life of their own and it excites me.
