#Yarrow

Hey good people ! Thought I'd break the ice on this fabulous new platform . Was out walking these past few days and see one of my strongest plant Allie's in the healing field Yarrow -is starting to leaf out for the first time this year . Making fresh leaf readily and heavily available for quick needs. But also bringing the spirit of the plant closer to being easily available . Also showing me despite what man says - spring and it's energies are definately here .

It kind of makes sense when I watch over long term the physical body of the plant and it's habits . How it grows and moves and when and why.

In the physical making balms , oils and salves. Out of the leaf . Incredible anti inflammatory, anti itch , scratches and cuts . This plant not only stops the bleeding , even in a balm form, but all the redness and irritation around the site will go away. That's impressive . I've had clients with hemorrhoids use it for instant relief and reduction of swelling . There's a huge chance yarrow is growing just around the corner from you. A friendly plant . That once a relationship is established you'll see it everywhere FIRST.

The flowers is my go to for fever issues . Bath works. My favorite and most used cauldron . I make a magickal tea out of the bath basically and put the fevered person inside . Step inside my cauldron .

The flowers make sense to me. They work the way they do Vs the cuts and inflammation skillsets of the leaf. Look outside and find her and you'll see . Almost as if the two are two different entities yet one in the same . Twins with different purposes . The leaf will grow and grow . All on its on own spiraling out low . Until the heat of late spring summer hits . The heat of summer is when the stalks that hold the flowers start to pop . At least from my observations . It's got to get hot first . There's a relationship there I feel.

My own yarrow I started from seed never flowered nor gave a stalk for one . But there it is this morning in my pot leafing out like mad . Ready to thrive with me another year . The field north of me is covered in it .

This year I plan on working with the gods less and the plants more . This plant growing it was more a leave me alone and let me do my own thing type of plant . I've noticed the plants I work with the most or that meet me at the edge of my cauldron to participate are like this . Get them going and let them do their own thing . Huge connections .

Loves a bit of Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Yarrow roots, leaves, flowers, and seeds vary in minor ways in terms of their medicinal properties but are generally interchangeable and they can be prepared fresh or dried as a tincture (using about 40 percent ABV alcohol), infusion, decoction, syrup, oil, salve, poultice, plaster, or eyewash.

I can’t say I’ve ever actually made an eyewash but as an infused oil base for a salve or adding a bit of tincture not bad.

I need to start working more energetically with triple extractions to see if there’s much differences.
